Welcome to PS 76x's Kindergarten!
Each month, our team will be sending out a newsletter with information on what the students will be and have already completed throughout the month. Please take the time to read through this, and stay as involved as you can! The more parent involvement, the better student success!

School begins on Wednesday, September 9. This is a HALF DAY just for Kindergartners. We are asking that you stay with your child on this day (do not drop them off and leave) to review what was discussed at the Kindergarten Orientation, and to also better acquaint you and your child with your Kindergarten teacher. On that day, we will be completing First Day of School activities, as well as practicing school behaviors. Each teacher will also introduce you to the dismissal location for your class. You will be sent home with two Blue Cards. This information is crucial to our school's dismissal procedures. Please include any adults that will be picking up your child at dismissal on the back of these cards. We will not dismiss your child with a person that is not on the card. Dismissal will be when lunch is served (approximately 11 AM).
The first FULL DAY for Kindergarten students is on Thursday, September 10. On this day, please drop your Kindergarten child/ren off by the cafeteria. Staff members will escort your children to their assigned locations for teachers to pick them up. Dismissal is at 2:20 PM in the school yard.
Don't forget to bring your school supplies! We will be collecting these during the first week of school. Make sure you LABEL each item you bring in.
We look forward to seeing you! Enjoy the rest of your summer!
